After having shown “The Pleasure of Being Robbed” by Josh Safdie and “Acquaintances of a Lonely John” by Ben Safdie in 2009, IndieLisboa awarded the two brothers with the Feature Film Grand Prize “City of Lisbon” for their co-direction in "Go Get Some Rosemary".
“Pelas Sombras” by Catarina Mourão won two awards: Signis Award and the Johnnie Walker Audience Award for Best Feature Film. “La Pivellina” by Rainer Frimmel won the Distribution Award Caixa Geral de Depósitos. The Tobis Award for Best Portuguese Feature Film was given to “Guerra Civil” by Pedro Caldas. “Les Arrivants” by Claudine Bories and Patrice Chagnard was awarded with two prizes: World Pulse RTP Award and the Amnesty International Award.
In the short film awards, “Cocoon” by Till Kleinert and “La Neige Cache L’Ombre des Figuiers” by Samer Najari won ex-aequo the Inatel Short Film Grand Prize. “Cities On Speed #4 - Bogotá Change” by Andreas Møl Dalsgaard was the winner of the Johnnie Walker Audience Award for Best Short Film. “A History Of Mutual Respect” by Daniel Schmidt and Gabriel Abrantes won the Media Recording Award for Best Portuguese Short Film and Sandro Aguilar (director of “Voodoo”) won the Restart Award for Best Portuguese Short Film Director.
In the IndieJunior section, “Summer Wars” by Mamoru Hosoda was the winner of the Pais & Filhos IndieJunior Audience Award. The IPJ IndieJunior Award was given to “The Six Dollar Fifty Man” by Louis Sutherland and Mark Albiston.
In total, between special mentions and awards, IndieLisboa’10 distinguished 28 films.
