Heddy Honigman

Heddy Honigmann is one of the greatest documentarists working today. Although her films have never been commercially screened in Portugal, their presence in film festivals (for example, "Forever" and "El Olvido" at previous editions of IndieLisboa) was enough to arise interest among portuguese viewers. "Forever" was also the winner of IndieLisboa's Prize of the Public in 2007. This year the festival will pay homage to the dutch director with a complete and unprecedent retrospective of her work, a total of 13 titles (including her first fiction films and three episodes of a TV series).

Heddy Honigmann will be in Lisbon to present and discuss her films with the public, and also to conduct a masterclass about her work.

Berlinale Forum 40 Years
DIALOGUES WITH FILMS

The Forum of New Cinema (part of Berlin International Film Festival) completed 40 years of existence in 2009. In tribute to this space dedicated to directors with innovative visions of cinema and it's frontiers, IndieLisboa’10 has decided to screen  a selection of movies exhibited there throughout these four decades. For the first time, thirteen filmmakers who have also already shown their work at the Forum, were asked to select their favourite films from other directors who have exhibited their features in one of the artistically boldest sections of the german festival.
