INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
To discover talented first or second time directors. In 2008, IndieLisboa will comprise short and feature films that have never been publicly screened in Portugal, and that have been concluded in 2007 or 2008. To this competitive section can apply fiction, animation, documentaries or experimental works, as long as they are first or second films.

OBSERVATORY
For shorts and features, the Observatory is an overview over the most important independent production.

LABORATORY
This section explores the new territories of filmmaking. Its a place for taking chances. Here will be screened more radical and unclassifiable works by directors who work in absolute freedom and overcome genre and format.

INDIEJUNIOR
Special competitive program intended for the youngsters (five year old and over).

INDEPENDENT HERO
This section is dedicated to those who work in favour of a cinema which is totally free of pre-judgements and prejudice, free from the big industry and autistic markets, and above all, free from the need of immediate results.

DIRECTOR´S CUT
This is a “cinephile” section. Here are presented films that deal with cinema itself, or are about its history or that work with Cinema has a source of criativity.

INDIEMUSIC
A special program dedicated to music, with the presentation of documentaries about the most important and/or charismatic musicians.
