The sections will the following:

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
To discover talented first or second time directors. In 2007 IndieLisboa will comprise short and feature films that have never been publicly screened in Portugal, and that have been concluded in 2006 or 2007. To this competitive section can apply fiction, animation, documentaries or experimental works, as long as they are first or second films.

OBSERVATORY
For shorts and features, the Observatory is a radar on what’s being done in the independent film scene. To this section may apply authors that can’t be included in the official competition (because they have already more than two films, or their films were finished before 2006, or the films were already screened in Portugal). To this competitive section can apply fiction, animation, documentaries or experimental works.

LABORATORY
This section explores the new territories of filmmaking. Its a place for taking chances. Here will be screened more radical and unclassifiable works by directors who work in absolute freedom and overcome genre and format.

INDIEJUNIOR
Special competitive program intended for the youngsters (five year old and over).

INDEPENDENT HERO
This section is dedicated to those who work in favour of a cinema which is totally free of pre-judgements and prejudice, free from the big industry and autistic markets, and above all, free from the need of immediate results.
