Nasceu e cresceu em Falcon Heights, no Minnesota.
Terminou o curso de Estudos Cinematográficos na
Universidade do Minnesota, em 1990. Fundou o Festival
Lésbico, Gay, Bi e Transgender de Minneapolis/ St. Paul, em
1986. É uma das principais especialistas mundiais em cinema
GLBT.
Born and raised in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. She received her BA in Film Studies from the University of Minnesota in 1990. She was the founder of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Lesbian, Gay, Bi, & Transgender Film Festival in 1986. She is one of the world's leading experts on GLBT cinema.
